CRAZY gourd vine

At the beginning of the summer, my friend Lauren gave me a teeny little plant. It was 3" tall and she told me it was a gourd. I planted it in the back, didn't think much of it ...the thing has completely taken over my little hill, it is lush, and green and crazy. It's tendrils crawled up onto my pool area and actually entwined itself onto the pool cover (we never did open the pool this summer due to electrical problems... but that's a whole other story). This vine is reminicent of the monster plant "Seymore" in "Little Shop of Horrors." As you can see, the one gourd that is growing is the size of my HEAD!!!

Introducing Oso Negro Beer

How cool is it that David Andersen (My sisters hubby) is brewing his own beer ....and NAMING it after my dog?? As a christmas/b-day present (David's birthday is on Christmas Eve) I illustrated and designed his beer labels. Specifically for his one belgian styled wheat beer, the flavor "Witty Monk"
